“… Arrived late at night on low cost flight (wondering whether it was worth the cheap price to put up with a planeload of stagdo’s with the manners of idiots). The Airport is small but clean and very easy to find a taxi, the red cabs seem good value paid 7lats on way into city and 8 on way out, its great not to get ripped off by the taxi mafia on the first night!

Anyway arrived at my hotel and headed out to see what fun the night would bring. The Riga this week magazine in the hotel room has a good map and several ads for discos clubs and massage joints. I made for the Old Town and must say that Riga is a beautiful city with well laid out public parks and quite similar to Tallinn.
